Darin Barfield - Music / Young Adult Pastor

Darin has attended WDSBC since the second grade. He graduated from Central High School here in Springfield in 1990 and attended Baptist Bible College. His first wife, Dana, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in December 2007. After a brave fight she went home to Heaven in July of 2009.

In the Spring of 2010, God brought Regina into Darin’s life and they were married in November of the same year. They have two daughters, Kylie and Alyssa.

Darin works vocationally as a store manager at Batteries+Bulbs on South Campbell. He has worked with the worship ministry since 2001. Darin’s desire is to offer an opportunity where members are invited to take part in the individual and corporate worship of our awesome God and to provide special music that is uplifting to the soul. As Young Adult Director, Darin’s desire is to build within our young adults the understanding that the Bible remains relevant - even in our post-modern society - and that a true relationship with God is the only path to life-long peace and contentment.
